Four teams remain in the hunt for a place in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference football state championship game. Both semi-finals take place Sunday, November 3, as North Dakota State College of Science and Minnesota West CTC host Itasca Community College and Central Lakes College, respectively.
In Wahpeton, North Dakota, two nationally-ranked teams tangle as NDSCS will host Itasca with kickoff at 1:30pm; the Vikings are in the 'Receiving Votes' category of the current NJCAA Football poll and Wildcats are #20 overall. The Wildcats boast one of the top NJCAA ground games in the country, while ICC has shown the ability to win both defensive struggles and shoot-outs this fall. The winner of today's 1:30pm contest at NDSCS will advance to the MCAC State Championship game to be held at St. Cloud State University on Sunday, November 10. The MCAC State/Region XIII Championship Game will kick off at 1:30pm at Husky Stadium.
