The following basketball student-athletes have been named Divisional Players-of-the-Week for the week of play ending Sunday, January 20.

MCAC Northern Division



Chris Buckley

Guard / SO

Coon Rapids, MN


Chris Buckley, a sophomore guard at Central Lakes College from Coon Rapids, Minnesota has been named the MCAC Northern Division Player-of-the-Week.

In a 2-1 week for Central Lakes College, Buckley scored 82 total points while dishing out 8 assists to Raider teammates.  He also collected 17 rebounds. Overall, the he was 28-of-62 from the field and hit 12-of-14 free throw attempts. 

Central Lakes College will face Itasca Community College and Hibbing Community College this week.












MCAC Southern Division




Terrell Smith

FR. / Guard

 Minneapolis, MN



Terrell Smith, a freshman guard at Riverland Community College from Minneapolis, Minnesota has been named the MCAC Southern Division Player-of-the-Week.

In 59 minutes of work, Smith was 18-of-29 from the floor, including a 4-of-8 effort from behind the three point line. In addition to his 42 points scored, Smith grabbed eight rebounds and had four steals for the week. 

Smith and the Blue Devils will face Minnesota West CTC and Ridgewater College this week.
